Product Lookup
The Lightning Product Lookup component enables users to search the product database and select a product value for MED_Product__c.
The Lightning Product Lookup component follows the same rules as the Classic Product Lookup component for selecting and searching products. However, unlike the Classic Product Lookup component which only supports up to 1,000 products, the Lightning Product Lookup component has no hard limits on the number of products it can search, and it displays up to 30 results. Each product result contains the name of the product and a subtitle. The subtitle is comprised of product metadata separated by the “•” character.
Configuration considerations
Keep these considerations in mind when working with the Lightning Product Lookup component:
Customers cannot add the Product Lookup component to Lightning page layouts.
Both the Enhanced Record Edit and Request Content Search components automatically use the new Product Lookup when
MED_Product__cis on the page.The Product Lookup Component Fields field on the Global Setting custom metadata sets the metadata that is displayed in the subtitle. To configure the subtitle, add Product field API names as a comma-separated list to Product Lookup Component Fields.
