User authentication

To use the Komodo Insights Component, every individual user needs to complete a one-time authentication with their Komodo Health username and password.

  1. In the top-right corner of the Salesforce environment, click the View Profile icon. A profile menu will open.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. In the left sidebar, click Authentication Settings for External Systems. If this option is not available, please reach out to your system administrator to be assigned the permission set created in Configure a permission set.

  4. Click New.

  5. Set the External System Definition to Named Credential.

  6. Set the Named Credential to the Named Credential set up by / shared by your admin.

  7. Set the Authentication Protocol to OAuth 2.0.

  8. Check the Start Authentication Flow on Save checkbox. This allows you to verify that the authentication is working in step 12.

  9. Click Save. You will be directed to Komodo Health's login page.

  10. Enter your username and password to log into Komodo Health's database.

  11. Authorize Salesforce (SFDC) to access Komodo Health’s Aperture API on your behalf.

  12. Verify that the Administration Authentication Status is Authenticated.
