Description

Upon upgrading to Salesforce’s Spring ’24 release, the Document Collaborator Search (ppCollaboratorSearchModal) wizard no longer works as expected. Users who try to use the wizard to add a new document collaborator will run into an issue where the subsequent screens in the wizard never finish loading.

Affects version(s)

All versions

Impacted capabilities

N/A

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a Document (mvn__CM_Document__c) record page.

  2. Click the Collaborators tab.

  3. On the Document Collaborators component, click New.

  4. Select a contact and click Next.

  5. Enter any additional details about the document collaborator and click Next.

The Document Collaborator Search wizard navigates to the next screen but the screen never finishes loading.

Workaround

The product team is working on a hotfix to resolve this issue. In the meantime, to create and add a document collaborator to a document, you may:

  1. Manually create a Contact record using standard Salesforce functionality.

  2. Manually create a Document Collaborator (mvn__PP_Document_Author__c) record for each Contact record, selecting the desired document and any document roles as appropriate.

The document collaborator will then appear in the Document Collaborators component on the Document record page. You may modify the document roles with the Document Roles component as needed.

Fix version

Spring '23, Fall '23
