Key/Summary | KI-13 Require Customize Application Permission for Direct Read Access to Custom Settings (Critical Update) Breaks Nintex | Status | Done |
Created | 09/16/2019 | Updated | 12/19/2019 |
Description | With the Summer 19 release Salesforce.com exposed a new Critical Update entitled 'Require Customize Application Permission for Direct Read Access to Custom Settings'. By default this permission is disabled, however once enabled, the nintex document generation runtime will fail to generate documents in certain scenarios.
Impacted Capabilities | N/A | Affected Apps | Medical Information Cloud - Classic Medical Information Cloud - Lightning |
Affects Versions | V7 | Fix Version | V8 |
Steps to Reproduce | 1. Enable the Critical Update 2. Attempt to generate a Request Snapshot
Workaround | All licensed MIC users should be granted the 'View All Custom Permissions' permission. This can be done wither by creating and assigned a custom permission set or by adding the permission to the appropriate user profiles. This issue will be resolved in V8, at which point this permission will be included within the document generation service and no longer necessary to manage at the User level. Salesforce.com will force-enable this Critical Update on 1/3/2020. As a result these steps must be performed prior to that date to ensure the application behaves as expected. |
