Medical Information Cloud Labs, Fall '25 Release Notes
This topic contains the release notes for the Fall '25 release of the AI Medical Information (AIMI) Labs add-on for Medical Information Cloud. This is the first release of AIMI, which introduced the on-demand Ask AIMI prompt experience and the underlying Agentforce prompt set. The automated, governed AIMI Recommends experience was added later, in Spring '26. The release notes are organized into these high-level sections:
- Installation and upgrades
- New features
- Updated features
- Hotfixes
- Defect fixes and maintenance
- Metadata changes
- Deprecated and deleted items
- Required pre-install and pre-upgrade actions
- Required post-upgrade actions
Installation and upgrades
AIMI is a Labs add-on installed on top of Medical Information Cloud, unnamespaced (the MAI_ prefix is a naming convention), depending on the mvn-namespaced MIC core. Install AIMI from your organization's standard install URL for the add-on. AIMI requires an Einstein/Agentforce-enabled org with Prompt Builder enabled.
This release packages AIMI as a metadata-deployment add-on installed on top of Medical Information Cloud. After installing, complete the configuration described in Set up AIMI and Set up Ask AIMI, including assigning the MAI_Run_AIMI_Prompt permission set, placing the Ask AIMI prompt component on the Interaction record page, and reviewing the prompt-option records.
Complete the steps in the Required pre-install and pre-upgrade actions and Required post-upgrade actions sections below.
New features
AI Medical Information (AIMI) with Ask AIMI
This is the first release of AI Medical Information (AIMI). It introduces Ask AIMI, an on-demand, specialist-initiated way to run Agentforce-powered prompts against an open Interaction. A Medical Information specialist opens an Interaction, clicks Ask AIMI, picks which prompts to run, and reviews the AI output immediately, without AIMI writing to any Medical Information records on its own. Records are created only when the specialist chooses to run a response action against a result.
See AI Medical Information (AIMI) for an overview.

Ask AIMI prompt experience
Ask AIMI adds the AIMI Prompt Component (maiAimiPromptComponent), which an administrator places on the Interaction (Case) record page, and the AIMI Prompt Selection modal (maiAimiPromptModal). The specialist selects the prompts to run from the modal, runs them on demand, and reviews each AIMI response in a structured, labelled-field layout. Prompts that have an associated response action let the specialist select results and run the corresponding flow to act on the output. The available prompts and their default selection are driven by records of the new MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option__mdt custom metadata type, and access is gated by the MAI_Run_AIMI_Prompt permission set.
See Use Ask AIMI prompts.

Adverse Event (AE) detection prompt
This release adds the MAI_Interaction_AE_Recommendation prompt template, which evaluates an Interaction for a potential adverse event and drafts a recommendation, narrative, and suspect product. In Ask AIMI, the Detect Adverse Event prompt option runs this template against the open Interaction so a specialist can review the AE assessment on demand.

Product Quality Complaint (PQC) detection prompt
This release adds the MAI_Interaction_Product_Complaint_Recommendation prompt template, which evaluates an Interaction for a potential product quality complaint and drafts a recommendation and complaint description. In Ask AIMI, the Detect Product Quality Complaint prompt option runs this template against the open Interaction.

Suggested Category / Sub-Category prompt
AIMI adds prompt support for suggesting the Request Category and Sub-Category for an Interaction. The supporting Apex respects controlling-to-dependent picklist relationships so suggested values are valid combinations.

Product and Question identification prompt
This release adds the MAI_Interaction_Product_And_Question prompt template, which identifies the product and the underlying question from the Interaction's email content so AIMI can suggest the Request to log.
Related work item(s): MIC-4031
Interaction Summary prompt
This release adds the MAI_Interaction_Summary prompt template, which generates an analyst-ready summary of the Interaction that a specialist can review through Ask AIMI.

Updated features
There are no updated features in this release. This is the first release of AIMI.
Hotfixes
There are no hotfixes in this release.
Defect fixes and maintenance
The following packaging and prompt-refinement work was completed during the development of this initial release.
Fixed and refined items
| Work item(s) | Description | New behavior |
|---|---|---|
| MIC-4133 | The AIMI add-on repository needed a deployment model suitable for an add-on install. | The add-on repository is configured for metadata-only deployment on top of Medical Information Cloud. |
| MIC-4193 | The Fall '25 AI prompts needed tuning for accuracy and consistency. | The AE, PQC, category/sub-category, product-and-question, and Interaction-summary prompt templates were refined for the initial release. |
Metadata changes
This initial release adds the following metadata. See the Custom metadata types and Page layouts, FlexiPages, and tabs inventories for the declarative items that administrators most often need to verify.
Custom metadata types
New custom metadata types
| Work item(s) | Custom metadata type |
|---|---|
| MIC-4188, MIC-4189 | MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option__mdt (AIMI Prompt Option) |
MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option__mdt defines which prompts appear in the Ask AIMI modal, the labels and descriptions shown for each, the prompt template each runs, and any response-action flow. See Set up Ask AIMI for the fields administrators configure.
New custom metadata records
| Work item(s) | Custom metadata record | Type |
|---|---|---|
| MIC-4188, MIC-4196 | MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option.MED_Detect_Adverse_Event (runs MAI_Interaction_AE_Recommendation) | Prompt UI |
| MIC-4188, MIC-4196 | MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option.MED_Detect_PQC (runs MAI_Interaction_Product_Complaint_Recommendation) | Prompt UI |
The default prompt-option records ship as setup data (deployed as unmanaged metadata) so administrators can add, tune, or deactivate prompt options per org. The two records that ship for Ask AIMI out of the box, Detect Adverse Event and Detect Product Quality Complaint, run the AE and PQC detection prompts against the open Interaction.
Apex classes
New Apex classes
| Work item(s) | Apex class |
|---|---|
| MIC-4188 | MAI_AIMIPromptCtrl (controller for the Ask AIMI prompt component) |
| MIC-4188 | MAI_Utility |
| MIC-4015 | MAI_GetPicklistValues |
Lightning components
New Lightning components
| Work item(s) | Component |
|---|---|
| MIC-4188 | maiAimiPromptComponent (the Ask AIMI button placed on the Interaction record page) |
| MIC-4188 | maiAimiPromptModal (the AIMI Prompt Selection modal) |
Prompt templates and GenAI assets

| MIC-4031 | MAI_Interaction_Product_And_Question |
| MIC-4015 | MAI_Request_Suggest_Category (later superseded by MAI_AIMI_Response_Log_Suggest_Category) |
These prompt templates are reused by later AIMI capabilities. In particular, the AE and PQC detection prompts (MAI_Interaction_AE_Recommendation and MAI_Interaction_Product_Complaint_Recommendation) are later reused by the automated AIMI Recommends experience added in Spring '26.

Page layouts, FlexiPages, and tabs
There are no packaged FlexiPages in this release. The Ask AIMI prompt component (maiAimiPromptComponent) is not shipped on a packaged FlexiPage, an administrator places it on the Interaction (Case) record page in the Lightning App Builder, typically below the Notepad. See Place the prompt component.
Deprecated and deleted items
None in this release.
Required pre-install and pre-upgrade actions
Enable Einstein/Agentforce
Enable Einstein and Agentforce (including Prompt Builder) in the org before installing AIMI. AIMI cannot run its prompts without an Agentforce-enabled org.
Required post-upgrade actions
Configure Ask AIMI
After installing, you must:
- Place the AIMI Prompt Component (
maiAimiPromptComponent) on the Interaction (Case) record page in the Lightning App Builder. - Assign the
MAI_Run_AIMI_Promptpermission set to the specialists who should be able to run Ask AIMI prompts. - Review the
MAI_AIMI_Prompt_Option__mdtrecords and activate the prompts you want to make available in the modal.
