Releases

Mavens releases two major versions of Medical Information Cloud each year, which are generally available in Spring and Fall. When the major version becomes generally available, you can install it in your sandbox and production environments.

In addition, when a Salesforce release becomes available,  performs regression testing on the supported versions of the  product to ensure core  features function as expected. Once testing is complete, publishes the test results.

The table below lists when each type of release documentation is made available.

1 month before the general availability of a major release- Release notes content for the next major release is made available.
Date of general availability for a major release- Updated product documentation has been released. The updated product documentation contains information about how to configure, customize, and extend newly released features and enhancements. It is designed for system administrators and developers who have a working knowledge of the Salesforce.com platform.
Date of general availability for a maintenance or hotfix release- The Release notes page is updated to include all new functionality and/or defect fixes that ship as part of the maintenance or hotfix release. - The list of changes made to the Release notes page as a result of the maintenance or hotfix release is recorded on the Release notes changelog page. - Product documentation is updated to account for any new functionality or enhancement that ships as part of the maintenance or hotfix release.
Salesforce.com release becomes available and  completes- Test results are made available. The test results list the Salesforce.com critical updates that tested and which updates passed regression testing. Regression testing ensures that all core  features function as expected as a result of a Salesforce.com release.
