| Description | The non-enhanced previewer displays a "No Preview Available" message when uploading an Office file (e.g. docx, doc, pptx...). This is caused by Salesforce dropping SVG based preview renditions in Hyperforce. For more information, visit Salesforce's Content file preview issues documentation. | | |
| Affects version(s) | All versions | Impacted capabilities | Inquiry Management, Content Management |
| Steps to reproduce | 1. Have a Hyperforce Org. 2. Create a new Document Version. 3. Upload an Office file (e.g., docx) for the new Document Version. Notice that the Office file is not displayed and a "No Preview Available" message is displayed instead. | | |
| Workaround | 1. Manually upload a PDF rendition of the file, OR 2. In the MCM Global Setting (mvn__CM_Global_Setting__mdt) custom metadata type, add the missing file types to the "Enhanced Viewer Extensions" setting to force the use of the Enhanced Viewer for rendering a preview. :::: note ::: title ::: Although Office files typically work in the Enhanced Viewer, they are not officially supported, so rendering bugs and issues should be expected. :::: | | |
| Fix version | MIC V14 | Resolution notes | Previews are now shown using the JPG-based preview images so that they continue to work in Hyperforce. |
